I live in Africa/Turkey/China (any country outside of the US) and many of the sessions are during the middle of the night.
We understand that women joining us are located all around the world. That's why we created the schedule the way we did! The idea is to see all that is offered during your waking hours - there should be 5-8 hours of content available each day no matter what time zone you are in! Please see the video below for more explanation of the schedule and how it is built to work for you.
What is the Gather event?
Gather is a five-day, web-based live event just for women ministering overseas! In this time of social distance and isolation, Gather is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect safely with women ministering in all parts of the world and to experience community, teaching, resourcing, prayer, fun, and so much more. At this event, you’ll have access to: • one-on-one virtual counseling, prayer, and medical consultation appointments • live sessions on ministry-related topics led by experts
What type of content and structure should I expect?
While the structure of each session will differ slightly based on the session type, sessions will be around one hour and will generally include an introduction from the facilitator, an opportunity for participants to introduce themselves, and 20-40 minutes of teaching from the facilitator followed by a time for attendees to ask questions and discuss the topic. All sessions will close in prayer. You’ll also receive resources applicable to the session topic from the facilitator and have a chance t
How much of a time commitment is required? Do I need to attend every session?
We know you are busy with life, family, and ministry responsibilities - even more so in COVID-19! Gather is structured in a way that can work for you, your family, and even the most complicated schedules. There are over 45 hours of offerings at this event, and you could choose to attend them all or just one! No amount of time is required to attend. With a robust schedule of sessions each day of the week, you can create your own path, attending as many or as few sessions that would be most v
When can I see the sessions that will be offered?
You can see a schedule for the event at thriveministry.org/2020gather. When you register for the event, you will have access to detailed session descriptions and facilitator information. You can register for individual sessions and build out your personal schedule for the week!
What if I can’t make it live? Will sessions be recorded?
We will record the opening session on Monday, July 13 and the closing session on Friday, July 17. All other sessions will be recorded on a case-by-case basis to ensure the privacy and security of our participants. While we wish we could make recordings available for all sessions, we want participants to be able to share freely during the live sessions. If and when needed to protect what is shared, we will refrain from sharing session recordings.
What do I need to attend?
To attend, all you will need is a computer, tablet, or phone with access to the internet and a free Zoom account.
Who can attend?
All women working cross-culturally are welcome! While Thrive is a Colorado-based ministry and Gather has been crafted with North American women serving overseas in mind, so much of the content is applicable to all women serving outside of their home culture. All are welcome to experience the Father’s love and care.

What security measures are you taking?
We will utilize Zoom for all sessions and one-on-one appointments. Our team has done extensive research on the security of Zoom, knowing how important this is for our participants! We will be taking all necessary precautions to offer the most secure experience, including limiting which global data centers Zoom can route through, utilizing the waiting room screening feature, monitoring the participants signed into the sessions, and ensuring each session has a host with full host controls.
